1. Our Commitment
All our products are handled with care, and we make every effort to ensure your order arrives in perfect condition.
If your book arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, please email us at hello@6gc.com.au within 7 days of receiving it.
We'll sort it out quickly — usually by sending a replacement or refunding your order, depending on the situation.
2. Change of Mind
Because we're a small publisher, we generally can't offer refunds for change of mind once your order has shipped.
However, if your order hasn't yet been dispatched, please get in touch right away — we may be able to cancel it and refund you before it leaves.
3. Faulty or Damaged Items
We take great care in packaging your order to ensure it arrives in excellent condition.
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, please contact us at hello@6gc.com.au within 7 days of delivery.
To help us assess your claim quickly, please include:
- Your order number
- A clear description of the issue
- Clear photos of:
- The damaged item
- The internal packaging
- The external packaging (including any visible damage)
Once we receive this information, we will review your claim and determine the appropriate outcome in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Depending on the situation, we may:
- Send a replacement item, or
- Issue a refund to your original payment method
Please note:
- Claims submitted outside the 7-day timeframe may not be accepted
- We may require additional information to lodge a claim with the shipping carrier
- In some cases, resolution may be subject to the outcome of the carrier's investigation
- You may be asked to retain the item or packaging for inspection
4. Wrong Item Received
If we accidentally send you the wrong item or quantity, please let us know straight away.
We'll make it right — either by sending the correct item or refunding your purchase.
5. Refund Process
Once your refund is approved, it will be processed back to your original payment method (via Shopify checkout).
Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.
6. International Orders
For international customers:
- Unfortunately, we can't cover return postage for items sent back from overseas unless the product is faulty or incorrect.
- Customs duties and import taxes are non-refundable.
7. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
You're entitled to a refund or replacement if a product has a major problem — for example, if it's faulty, unsafe, or significantly different from what was described.
