You know those places where the water is so still it looks photoshopped?

The lake near Gottsdorf is one of them.

No crowds. No souvenir stalls selling snow globes you'll regret buying. Just calm water, fresh air and enough peace to make you briefly consider becoming the sort of person who says things like, "I really connect with nature."

That lasted about four minutes.

Because it turns out people don't stop being people just because they're standing beside a beautiful lake.

Someone skipped rocks like they were trying to qualify for the Olympics.

Someone else insisted every photo needed "one more angle."

A bloke stared across the water with the expression of someone solving the meaning of life, only to announce, "Wonder if there are fish in there?"

There were ducks. Naturally, one of them looked like it had absolutely had enough of everyone's nonsense.

It's amazing how quickly tranquillity turns into a group discussion about whose turn it is to carry the backpack.

The best thing about travelling with Everyone's a Cunt is that every destination proves the same point.

Mountains change. Cities change. Languages change.

But human behaviour? That's wonderfully consistent.

The lake didn't need improving. It was already perfect.

People just couldn't help themselves. And honestly, we're glad they couldn't.

Because if everyone quietly admired the scenery before respectfully moving on, we'd have nothing to write about.

So Everyone's a Cunt packed up, left nothing behind except a few footprints, took only photos, and continued its European adventure.

The lake stayed peaceful.

The people... well, that's another story.
