Everyone’s a Cunt Takes a Cultural Detour to the Lednice–Valtice Landscape

A cultural wander through the Lednice–Valtice Landscape where UNESCO heritage meets long walks and questionable commentary.

Everyone’s a Cunt

Some destinations are carefully chosen. Others begin with, “It’s UNESCO listed, how bad can it be?” and curiosity takes over.

That’s roughly how Everyone’s a Cunt ended up wandering through the Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape in the Czech Republic. A place so polished it looks like someone built Europe after watching too many royal wedding documentaries.

The moment you arrive, it’s immediately clear this isn’t a “wander in with a beer and see what happens” kind of place. This is a “stand up straight and pretend you know what rococo means” location.

The Lednice Castle looks less like a building and more like it’s permanently mid apology for being too fancy. Turrets, manicured gardens, symmetry and reflective ponds.  Basically, it’s what would happen if a billionaire got really into historical role play and landscaping.

Valtice, on the other hand, feels like Lednice’s slightly more relaxed cousin who still wears expensive shoes but has loosened the collar. There’s a palace, history, vineyards, and the feeling that you should whisper even when you’re outside.

Naturally, we did not whisper.

At one point someone referred to the vineyard as “just grapes with ambition,” which feels historically accurate.

This is where Everyone’s a Cunt fits in perfectly.

Because nothing disrupts pristine European grandeur quite like travellers debating whether a swan has “resting aristocrat face” or is simply being a smug cunt.

The walk between them: character building, allegedly

The path linking Lednice and Valtice is beautiful in a way that slowly drains your confidence.

You start off saying: “This is lovely, very peaceful.”

Then two hours later when you realise you still haven’t found a pub, you’re negotiating with yourself: “If I die here, at least it’s culturally significant.”

It’s an elegant reminder that even the most polished places are still better enjoyed with good company, bad jokes, and zero respect for silence in libraries.

Lednice - Valtice is aggressively photogenic. It’s the kind of place that makes you stand taller, speak softer, and immediately ruin that feeling by saying something completely inappropriate near a fountain.

Which, to be fair, is exactly the spirit of Everyone’s a Cunt.
